We received the life brief from Missguided on the 15th January. The brief required us to create a range of POS options from the below:
1. A bag for life / tote bag, with the intention of this being sold in the website. We were instructed to think all things green meets amazing arm candy. It was necessary to take into account materials and fabrics as well as the design on the bag. Moreover, we should be innovative and think useful, re-useable and eco-chic. There was an instruction to possibly consider a foldaway bag.
2. A swingtag and woven garment label. It was required that we provided one set of trend focussed labels to be used on individual boutique collections. This could follow any or more of the AW10 trends. It was also necessary to produce one generic set of labels to be used on all Missguided clothing. The website should be used as a point of inspiration.
3. A mini brochure, in the style of one of a swing tag. This should contain information about the company. We should consider nice folding techniques to open to a brochure to display imagery / trend / blog or products in the range. The images should be chosen with regards to the forthcoming colour and fashion trends for Autumn Winter 2010.
What next?
I will use the internet as a medium for secondary research, looking at existing tote bags and analysing them with regards to their success / failure.
