Considering changing the colour scheme

It came to my attention that the current colour scheme that I had looked at for Missguided, was perhaps not quirky enough for the target consumer, based on what I know the customer desires, from research.

I therefore went back to the drawing board as such and started to rework this concept. I consider ways that I could develop both the character and the colour scheme further, bringing it to life more, rather than have a 2D character.

I then began to consider the layout of my final ideas. I had to work on the idea of white space and acquiring the perfect balance between overcrowded and a rather empty looking page.

Further experimentation must begin into the use of the translucent paper. I have purchased this in different colours – not just the red shade I have experimented with. I decided that this red paper did not enable the Missguided figure to stand out enough, therefore the white or green option may work better in this instance.

What next?

The main focus is quite a drastic change – reworking the colour palette. At present my design looks slightly too juvenile for the company.

I must go back to my initial research into trends and start looking into this. I must then consider creating a trend packet / trend box which will allow me demonstrate my trend concept to the panel.
